Purpose engineered and optimized structures

Curvature analysis is performed in order to achieve optimal performance in one of two ideals: stiffness-to-weight and aerodynamics. A structure optimized for a classic design would yield the greatest stiffness-to-weight ratio, whereas a structure optimized for an integrated design would possess more pronounced aerodynamic features.

Integrated seat clamp

Unique wedge design evenly distributes loads to reduce stress on frame. A carbon fiber plate between the wedge and the seatpost increases effective surface area to moderate clamping force. The seat clamp is designed to be seamlessly integrated into the frame to preserve its minimalist look.

Custom cable management

Cable entries are designed to perfectly integrate a range of proprietary groupset features. For example, Shimano’s Di2 junction box is integrated into the lower part of the downtube, where there’s less stress on the frame. In the instance of SRAM eTap, the absence of cable entries further minimizes frame fatigue. Dedicated entries for mechanical shifting can be converted to electronic shifting at any time.

BB386 Evo bottom bracket

A large volume bottom bracket with a 46 mm diameter and 86.5 mm width was chosen for its maximum stiffness to weight properties. This affords the rider more efficient pedalling with no loss of power transfer

Wide tire clearance

Sufficient tire clearance for tires up to 30 mm wide mounted on wide carbon fiber rims. Tires can be selected as a matter of personal choice beyond a predetermined race setup (25 mm) or endurance setup (28 mm).
